                                                              A Brief Introduction...

The Vizsla, also known as the Hungarian Vizsla, Smooth Coat Vizsla, and Hungarian Pointer, is one of the most distinguished pointers in the world. Vizsla's are a very versatile dog that can point, flush, and retrieve...a medium sized hunter with a typical wither height of 21" to 25" inches and an average weight of 40 to 70 pounds. They are most noticed for their beautiful gold-rust colored or reddish-brown coat. We fell in love with the breed over 30 years ago due to the fact they are one of the most "sensitive", intelligent, loyal, energetic, athletic, and affectionate dogs a person could be blessed to be around. Today, the Vizsla breed has gained a passionate following in the USA, Europe, and, lately, in Canada.

Not only beautiful and intelligent, the Vizsla breed has the pedigree to match! In fact, the Vizsla has been traced back to the Magyars of the 9th and 10th Centuries AD and also appears in illustrations throughout the middle ages as a hunting and falconry companion to Hungarian Nobles...AKA the "Royal Dog of Hungary".

Given official recognition by the Canadian Kennel Club in 1958, the breed has become highly sought after among active people, families, and outdoorsman seeking a dual or triple purpose gun dog. Our breeding program hopes to meet and exceed these expectations.
